How to test a variable speed motor? Module is new but have doughts if its defective.

You have a good chance of guessing but they do sell the proper tools to troubleshoot these motors.

Tech. The strange this was that the module was bad si I replaced it the motor ran fine for about four days customer called back now the motor moves back and forth . This has never happened to me. Just wanted to know if anything could have affected the motor. Thanks

I would suggest you follow the unit manufacturer recommendations for troubleshooting the unit. The motor can only run as it is commanded to do by the control system. There is a simple tool for diagnosing the motor itself, but you also need to know just which operation the motor is being asked to perform.
