Trane vs York for SEER 13/14?

In a small house (1,300 sq ft) with medium humidity (Delaware) and a desire for mechanical reliability, would you go with a Trane XR13/14 or a York Xenon? Obviously I've heard of Trane, but not that much of the Xenon.

The Xenon is just a York with a different label stuck on it.

Uses the same parts as a York with a York label.

How many times must one fix something before it is fixed?

I've heard that the Xenon line could be both York-made or as a part of the Aire-time 500 (AT500 - spelling?) group that could be made by possibly any manufacturer. Horizon Services said that the Xenon wasn't made by York (and the particular one was junk, according to the rep). I don't trust sales people to know all of the technical details, but it seemed he may have been knowledgeable about this one. Of course, the Trane was also a thousand more, so perhaps he was a little "motivated" on this one, notwithstanding the "I don't care if you buy from us, just don't buy that Xenon" line.

Last I saw it's the older York outdoor units. Only thing that scares me is what happens to the warranty if the dealer leaves AT500 or One Hour or whomever is selling it. Or if you want to leave that dealer for any reason, how would another dealer cover it.

On the XR14, remember that it won't hit 14 SEER without a variable speed indoor unit & Trane coil.
