Arrogance in the middle east
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was quoted today as saying that it was too late to stop Iran's nuclear program. He also compared Iran to a lion, and told the United States and its allies "not to play with the lion's tail".
My question: Who does this third world oil dictator think he is... And how long should the powers of the free world put up with a small time bully on the playground acting like he is king of the mountain?
Thoughts, observations, rebuttals... all are welcome.GA-HVAC-Tech

No, I am not saying that all should bow down to the mighty USA... But there is a lot of proof that the goofball in Iran has an attitude of trying to spread his power. Examples:
Iran finances:
Insurgent bombings in Iraq,
Hezbollah in Lebanon,
Syria,
and a host of other movements that generally cause unrest in the free world.
Should we just let it go until it becomes a serious problem, or should we deal with it before that happens?
What are your thoughts?
Oh, and BTW: Do you really want the playground bully to have a nuclear bomb?GA-HVAC-Tech

Well, all of this, and the USA decides that it is a "good" thing to despose his main advisary in Iraq? You reap what you sow.

Well, I first heard through Stratfor (www/stratfor.com), but that is a private subscription service, and I cannot copy/paste or I will loose my subscription. Generally, Stratfor finds more news and prints more details to the subscribers than the media.
However, with a few minutes at Google, this came up:

So yes, that arrogant oil dictator really does have a fat head. I think something needs to be done about this idiot.
What to others think?GA-HVAC-Tech

Hey Ollie, can you come up with a positive solution, rather than b!tching?
And I think we need to remember that lots of democrats were on the bandwagon to deal with Saddam as far back as 1998. That has been posted/documented here repeatedly.
So Ollie, what do you think we should do about this? How about stepping forward with a solution, rather than just picking on the politicians you do not like?GA-HVAC-Tech

We will deal with him soon enough. We dont have 3 carrier battle groups as well as nuclear subs positioned of their coast for nothing. He is scared because he knows we can obliterate his entire country within 24 hours by conventional means. I think israel will be the one doing it and we will back them up. I also think it will happen before Bush leaves office and while we have our troops over there.

Why don't we send somebody (sniper) to shoot him?

Here is an excert from another article on Iran:
The paper says that Iran’s economy is vulnerable because of economic mismanagement, with foreign investment all but drying up and a real inflation rate of about 20 per cent per annum. But it concludes that “the problems with Iran will not be resolved through economic sanctions alone”, as Iran has shown great resilience to outside pressure in the past.
Seems to me if the price of crude oil went down to about $50/bbl, it might bankrupt Iran... Sounds like an easy (and less bloody) way to deal with that idiot...
