I say take the gloves off of Israel and let them defend themselves.

BTW Ahmadraghead, having Nukes are not a right, they are a privilege.

So, what do you think that Isreal should do? Nuke them? Yeah, thats a wise idea. If these people do indeed decide to "wipe Isreal off the map", Isreal might be in big trouble. TRhey would face a war coming from all sides. Look at how they did not fare real well against a rebel attack by Hezbollah. Northern Isreal is still uninhabited as of today.

The IDF is tough, but they are well very outnumbered in a conflict of this type of magnitude.

I think there was a lot of international pressure of restraint on Israel during all of that. Israel could take out hezbollah easily if not restrained.

I seem to remember something about our administration urging them against the use of nukes.

How where they restrained? Because they could not use a nuke? I think it was more a case that they where being out foxed by Hezbollah with their rockets that where hidden as fast as they appeared.

All that, and they still did not get their soilders back.

That's correct bb. It wouldn't take long for them to dispose of the countries that border them, much less Hezbollah.
Iran isn't stupid enough to do anything other than what they are doing with Israel now and that is; warring with them through covert terror ops and supporting rocket fire into Israel. They're not going to declare and wage war against Israel. They would be doomed.

um,,,remember last time,it took them six days to to dispose of an attack from all sides...six days, they may be outnumbered but have far more technology.
plus america has a hand in their defense behind the scenes

Yep. And the fact that they have American support, armament and technologies is what wanker despises most about them.
As you may or may not know, he and a few other "liberals" on this forum don't support Israel's "right to exist" by claiming that they have no right to the land they call Israel.
In fact, Jews have maintained ties to their historic homeland for more than 3700 years.

That was in 1967, well before the invention of the "suicide bomber" which did not appear until the 1980's Iran-Iraq war. Things are much different now, these nations no longer practice "conventional warfare" but rely on guerilla tactrics and terrorism to bring down their enemy. We have all seen how effective this type of warfare is, and how it can even bring down the most technologically superior military.

Well, not in 1967, the US actually was against any sort of pre-emptive attack by Isreal, because the inteligence was not absolut that Egypt had an invasion planned.

Now a days, that might be more accurate. But it will always only be a financial backing, and most likely never a "real" military backing, since that might play political suicide in the reigon as far as the US is concerned.
