For the last few years I have been planting a few herb. If you go to buy fresh herbs they cost a fortune, same goes for dry herbs. Unless you buy those ones in the dollar store and they are so old they lost thier taste.
This year I figured I'd go big time since I have been successful in the past.
Fresh Herbs are great in the summer in potato, maccroni and green salades. Homemade salsa. In the fall I cut them all and hang them upside down to dry.
Around Jan. I crush up the dry herbs and jar them.
All winter we have free herbs in soups, pot roast, bread and sauces.
If I am going to waste time in a garden I want something that I can eat.
