Universal Vouchers for all kids

Let’s end the PC controlled government indoctrination of our kids and really give them an education. Let the parents decide where to send their kids. Those who love the public school system which is controlled by the ACLU and the commie teachers union can send their kids there. The rest of us tax payers can give our kids a real education either in a private or church school of our choice or home school. Then they actually might learn something and not be afraid of being expelled if them defend themselves when attacted by bullies or a girl for having a baseball bat in her car for protection (a weapon). This would be the greatest boon to America right up there with a Fair Tax and the right of free speech and to bear arms.

I agree, i myself was educated in a parochial school, grade 1-8, but due to the high cost of tuition I spent 9-12 in Public School, the world is in deep need of more like me.

AMEN to that!!!! School vouchers of today are a joke, here we had to move to the school district that we wanted our kids in so they at least have a fighting chance. That meant moving to a differant county and city to keep them from the black hole that is the public school system in the Milwaukee area.

It's now considered hard reading for college graduates. It's reasonable to conclude that our public school system has actually made things worse instead of better.

We shouldn't have vouchers, either. Homeschooling is superior to public school in every way except that mommy has to stay home instead of pursue a corner office.

I disagree vouchers would end the domination of our education system by the far left. You are never going to end free education but you can end PC brainwashing, socialist and communist teaching in the school system with vouchers. With vouchers you will save money becasue the goverment school system is bloted with fat and way to much staff. You can then limit the spending far easier. Its a cop out to say end goverment support for education because that would be impossible.

Recall the method the far left uses to control education: federal legislation. A national voucher system can only be created by federal legislation, and like any other bill in Congress it can be manipulated by the far left.

This is true. However, a voucher system will require government oversight. This will replace one leftist-infested bureaucracy with another. In fact, if a voucher system were implemented the first thing you'd hear would be a stampede of Marxist feet from the Department of Education to the new voucher bureaucracy so their control of our youth would continue as before.

Why is it impossible? If you agree homeschooling is better why should Americans pay taxes to get an education inferior to the one they could provide privately for less cost?
