load diversity/zoned systems
Fellow pros, can anyone relate actual experience with applying a load diversity factor (70%?)to a residential zoned load? Manual J p97 broaches the subject and I have experience of the application and misapplication in the commercial sector but I'm curious if the theory is really practicle for residential providing the project is done correctly (VSB, no bypass, correct duct sizing, r/a locations ok, etc.)without consequences.

Are you looking at the 7th edition? Or an early version of 8? Page 81 on my 8th edition version 2 talks about AED (Adequate Exposure Diversity).

Thanks Ed J, I did refer to my old mj7 and will update my collection. Do you have any experiences with the subject matter you'd like to share?
