You guys have got it all wrong. See that nice trough they made in front of the coil. They put that in there combined in with the vent in the negative pressure side of the trap so the unit wont drain till the trough is full making the perfect dog water bowl that's always filled with ice cold water. Or it would also make a lovely indoor bird bath LOL.
Isn't the drain on the secondary port on the drain pain to begin with? Hard to tell with the picture angle but it looks a little higher than the one next to it. And why not spin it 90* so it would be tucked flat against the unit. I hate when people install drains stuck out very which way. I had to replumb one a while back on a RTU that I caught my foot on snapping it off and did a face plant on the roof almost stabbing myself with a screwdriver while doing a PM.
