I'd be a little nervous standing at the end of the short runway with that monster coming at me!

I remember 10+ years ago flying down to Tyler TX to the Trane plant in a chartered 727. Biggest plane to ever land at Tyler at the time. Fire vehicles standing by on the runway just in case. All the buzz at the factory was our flying in!

What is the big deal. At that angel you can't tell anything and it had to land before it took off.

Saw a C130 do a rocket assisted To at the Albany Co. air show in NY a few years back, blew my mind, and my eardrums.

Standing over 1/2 mile away and it was the loudest most amazing thing I have ever seen ( that includes a Blue Oyster Cult/ Black Sabbath concert) 200' rollout and off the ground at 50+ degrees

The aircraft takeoff would not be possible without the catapults that are steam driven. It all comes back to who makes the steam.

Pretty balsy. Not much room for error.

I've been in jump planes that have actually dipped downward after the end of the runway because the runways were a bit short. DC-3's are good for that because being a tail dragger, they can quickly recoup their lift.

True story; just last week had a company owner who went to the Goodman factory one week and the Trane factory the next tell me he is going to be buying Goodman because he will never fly into Tyler, TX again. He was stranded at the airport due to problems with the plane he was supposed to leave on and he had nothing to do.
