    Heat Pump Control Wiring

I am installing a new Luxaire Modulating Furnace for one of my customers. He has an existing older 38C Carrier heat pump, two piece unit with the compressor unit in the basement. I am looking for information on wiring this to the new Furnace. From the heat pump section in the basement to the Furnace I have R, G, C, W2, W3,. I am looking to find out where the W2 and W3 wires should go on the new Luxaire LP9C Furnace. There is a O terminal on the new furnace board along with all the standard terminals, Thank you for any help

Can you hook it up using a dual fuel thermostat or a heat pump kit?

It already has the heat pump thermostat there. I am thinking I just need to put the G wire from the heat pump onto the Y terminal on the furnace to ramp up the blower for cooling. The W3 terminal should go to W on Furnace to bring on Heat.

You need to have a means of shutting off the heat pump when the furnace is running.

Compressor unit in basement? Should that not just be a cased or uncased coil? Get yourself the honeywell 8000 stat. Thats all you need with out a fossil fuel kit. But...he must have a fuel kit alredy. did you notice what he had? But that stat makes it easy.

Yep, on that model. The outdoor is just a remote condenser.
