9yr indoor coil is original and wasn't replaced. The tech is saying he needs to clean it as has clogged lines. He didn't do any test to determine this just plain logic. This is why the fluctuations are happening. Of course he is charging me additional $$$ for this.

    Okay Guys,
Where is the "map of contractors" on this site?

Also, sounds like from the different response I receive, none of them stated that I have a clogged evap coil line as the tech, that I hired, stated. So my guess is that I am being taken for a ride by paying him to unclogged the lines in the evap coil.

the metering is just that it meters the flow of refrigerant to the indoor coil
it is located insisde @ the airhandling equipment \ coil and it is spefic to the size of a\c as well as refrigerant

    Okay guys,
Thanks for the all the response. So the tech told me he was being vague as to what the problem is because he didn't think I would understand. He was telling me that the evap coil needed to be clean. However, he said to be specific the metering device needed to be cleaned/flushed. After he did this, the flucuations stopped. So you guys who said metering device, you got it right!

I will start another thread on condensation since I have a question on that with this new installed unit.

    thanks again!
