    Phoenix local 469

    I need advice from you Phoenix union guys out there. To join the union do I contact a local union company directly or just go down to the hall. I am on my 4th year in the trade and regretting I did not join the union sooner.

    Actually, you probably should think about going over to the apprenticeship on Thomas and 29 ave. and ask to take an appitude test to see where they can place you in the apprenticeship. With 4 years of experience (documented, of course) they will not place you as a 5 yr experienced journeyman. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity of working days with experienced journeymen, and take theory and hands-on training, two evenings a week.
