Does anyone use a canopy tent for HVAC work?
Absolutely..... When I have to be on a rooftop for several hours changing a compressor in the middle of July I definately use one.
We are using hunting tents that fold up into a back pack. Take them out of the back pack and toss them in the air and stand back. The trick is getting them folded back into the back pack. They have no floor so you pick them up and put them over the outdoor coil. We use them for cold weather startup and tune ups. I used mine on all 4 jobs yesterday. The ODA in the morning was 49F and with the tent over the coil I was at 80F. I have the folding down pat. Here is a link to the one I have on my truck
Looks funny sitting on the home owners lawn but it works great. Even used it in the snow 2 weeks ago. 37F out and 80F in the tent.

It was about 100 that day - what a life saver
I use a 5 foot beach umbrella and a hunting blind.
Would like a lite canopy, maybe aluminum.
Shade is a vital part of my life

I used one about a month ago.I was on a white roof installing a compressor on a roof top over our ballroom temp was around 105 sweat running in my eyes so bad I could not see when along came pickup load of our work study boys they stoped and asked if they could go and get me one of the tents they set up for special events sure I said let me tell you it made a big difference. Those boys saved my a** that day.
