    **RHEEM RE-SET BUTTON A/C UNIT**

    HEY GUYS...

I HAVE BEEN BATTLING MY RHEEM A/C UNIT ALL SUMMER. I KEEP HAVING TO PUSH THE RED-RESET BUTTON LOCATED ON THE OUTSIDE UNIT TO GET MY UNIT TO KICK OVER AND RUN. WHEN I PUSH THE RESET BUTTON I ALSO HAVE TO GET A STICK AND GIVE THE FAN A SLIGHT NUDGE TO GET GOING. THE FAN INSIDE BLOWS FINE. I HAVE CHECK THE COMPACITOR FOR ANY "BULDGING", THERE IS NONE. THE "FINS" (RADIATOR LOOKING) ON THE OUTSIDE UNIT ARE %70 CLEAN. I HAVE READ THAT IT MAY BE MY 24V SOMETHING ANOTHER. WE ARE EXPECTING OUR FIRST BABY AND WANT TO GET THIS SOLVED BEFORE SHE GETS HERE!!! ANY ADVICE WOULD BE AWESOME! THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Stop resetting and call a contractor.

    P.S. release the CAPs LOCK

    Call a contractor.

Turn it off before you damage the unit further.

Attempting to repair your unit yourself could result in harm to your unit, you, or your family.

    This isn't a DIY forum.

If you don't understand what you're messing with, you can damage the unit or your new baby's father.

    Not a wise decision, IMO.

You are going to abort your compressor - call a contractor now before you have to pay for a new AC and first kid.

BTW...they did tell they grow up to be teenagers in about 13 short years, didn't they?
