Hi, my name is Donna, l am just starting out,lm 36 from Toronto, l took a three year HVAC course at a comunity college, but it was a waste of time, it was non apprentice
I had my Glll for ten years, but all I was qualified to do was duct cleaning, which was good money, but not very challenging or interesting.
I am in school to get my GII, and I am loving it. I will graduate at the end of the year.
Since going back to school I have strong electrical skills.
Hope to get a job in service and repair.
I would ultimately like to go into commercial refrigeration, but its hard to find a union to give any female a chance.
Hopefully that will change with the new strict human rights laws, I can sue a company. I wont get much, but the company will be out hundreds and thousands of dollars in lawyer fee's.
If any other woman from Ontario have experienced discrimination, contact me and tell me what you did. How much money did you get from law suits, etc...
I also tutor in the GTA if anyone is interested.
