You probably broke the seal when installing it. Remove the seal and check if the graphite ring is broken in half. When you install these seals you have to lube them up to make it easier to slide on the shaft. Make sure it's seated all the way and the spring will compress and de compress freely. Then put the graphite ring in and seat it on the tabs. Then bolt up the cover plate. If you don't have that tab lined up right in the pic it will break the ring. Also polish the shaft with a brown scotch bright pad and verify there isn't a groove where the seal contacts it. Hope this helps.

I get my parts from www.thermoenginesupply.com they are local to me but they'll ship to you at about 50% the cost of thermo king or carrier dealers. If you got any more questions I used to work on these a lot before i started in commercial hvac.

ya i found the problem i found out that you have to be very clean about it i had to dip all the seal in poly oil and like you said polish the shaft to remove the grove. i put on rubber gloves as well clean everything possible and when i put it together for the fourth time. there was no leak left, thanks for the reasponse back if i have to mess with the truck again ill shoot you a message before i put my hands on it first.
