Each unit has its own compressor per the parts program. Compressor is a private label owned by Lennox "(INTERLINK) VAR SPEED W/HARNESS". I think LG is the manufacturer for them. Compressor model number seems to have the btu's coded into it.

Other than the boards and the compressors are the units otherwise identical?

    Heating
32f EW 3gpm/ton by OEM, means here less flow , less KWH Pump Circulation, than 64k output WF 4T for instance--

, 2.7 gpm/Ton is all that is needed, or well at 1.3 gpm/compressor ton, for 50f water (Hydro-Temp std oversized HX water coils)

WITHOUT A GROUND LOOP AT ALL:
above mentioned only because in light comm, using like-or-Hydro-Temp, the 100% on-demand HW would be , say , as used for pre-heating HW in a restaurant or medical/dental, etc as needed assisting larger A/C systems. - just off the shelf now, to 63k outputs on that 32f testing closed "chiller" loop

Is Lennox going further with VFD 'Inter-Earth-Link' GEOTHERMAL HP ?
... however, much work still needs to be done.

CLOSED LOOP 2015 listed EER's over 34 EER "blended from low to high variable speeds" for 32deg.F ~ E-Star

    Perhaps you need a 32F Chiller/HW-Heat: buy a GTHP

I have a question about that tape on the lineset. Ive noticed that tape on the linesets of quite a few installs I have viewed on you tube and am just wondering why it is used and if it is required in some locations.

Ive never...or rarely had to split rubatex....and when I did....or when joining the sections together at the butt joints always used the contact cement made for joining the insulation. It works very well if you follow the directions.

Anyhow... Im just curious about that tape.

Your doing it fine, I have noticed Rubitex states it is UV resistant. As long as the inspector buys it. If we split it we use this outdoor PVC 10 mil tape, it does hold up real well outdoors.

I wander what the home-depot brand of soft rubber -rubatex-like SPLIT self-sealing pieces do in UV.

I'll ask the OEM when I get another piece, but most is GT indoors for me. It is great , holds, and but if not stressing the stickiness of the split-glue

Thats is true, Lennox does struggle with EER ratings. The problem is the only rate them on high speed so its not accurate. I had an aqua chill that was water cooled and tested at 7.6 amps when it was 97 degrees outside. I have the xc 21 2 ton and onlow speed at 95 degrees it was pulling 7.1 amps. The aqua chill claims its 18 EER. I dont know if that helps. I do love in so cal so there is very low humidity.

Interesting thread, THX for posting about the new Lennox unit!

We find 'InterLink' compressors in AlliedAir products also... as I understand... they are licensed Copeland Scroll units, made by LG.
