    Warm Air Returns- Back-To-Back

I have a warm air return on my second level in the main bedroom (MBR). This wall is common to the upper hallway wall. I would like to add a warm air return directly behind the one on the MBR so that warm air from the hallway is circulated down to the furnace. Is there any problem with this idea?

Other than noise transfer from the bedroom to the hallway or the other way around, not that I can see from here.
Use the biggest hammer you like, pounding a square peg into a round hole does not equal a proper fit.

Should not be a problem, but is there not one in the hallway as is?

I live in Canada if that explains anything. There is no air return at all (warm or cold) in the upper hallway. The cold air return is on the first level.
