A/C and Ocean Front
I have a Ocean front property in Mexico. The unit is on the top of the build and the salt aire has eaten both my 3 ton york units alive in just 5 years. The units only get used once a month for a couple days in the summer and heat in the winter.
Is there any A'C units that are better equipped to handle the harsh sea environment? The A/C dealer down there wants to put in 2 new 13 seer tranes... Is there something better ?
Thanks

Trane or Carrier Coastal is your best bet. Preferably Trane...the spine fin coil will last a little longer.
You need to have your condensers cleaned a few times a year with salt away. Its a boating product.
Good luck.
I live in an Atlantic resort area. I know what mother ocean does to all brands. Put me 6/10miles away from the ocean and anything will last 15/20yrs.

Trane's the best for ocean spray.
