    Honeywell wifi stats

I installed my first wifi stat today. They only had a 4 wire ran to it. I tried using the green wire for the common. It seemed to work ok. The fan came on for both heat and air. I informed the homeowner that the fan only wouldn't work. Most people never use that anyway. Does anybody see any problem that might develop by doing this?

No not really. Just test that the furnace energizes fan with a Y call because some don't.

as long as you cycled heating & cooling and it operated properly = you are golden.
most modern furnaces know you are running ac and the fan will turn "on".
