1)check the aux contacts on the run contactor or replace the aux contact(also check the starter mod)
2)check the high pressure switch,if you look at the wiring diagram of the starter panel
3)you will need to perform a dry run test on the starter panel using the ucp2 test mode.

graham does post this comment quite a bit more than the average tech, however, (in this case especially) several of the known possible fixes for this problem include putting your hands and tools in an open starter cabinet...this is not exactly something to teach someone over the internet with 1 post...unless he tried it after getting gbrlgms advice and now he may have only 1 post to his name forever!

I posted it because the OP has no credentials in his profile and this is his first posting . Im not going to post information in an open forum that may end up with someone who doesnt have a clue what they are doing and has no place fooling around in a chiller starter getting killed .
Its about time that this became a pro only forum , there are far too many DIY ers and Jack of all Trades using this site for information and there are far to many people on here posting information that people should be paying for by hiring a licensed professional to fix .

There Im done my rant I shall now go back to my igloo and wait to see if I can shoot a moose and if I dont hurry my whale blubber lunch will spoil .

I have updated my credentials. I did not intend to disrespect this forum. I agree that safety should be considered when passing along trade information. I stumbled onto this by accident; but thought what an awsome way to talk about and learn about the trade I have enjoyed for several years.

Once upon the time hvac-talk was all about helping others, a friendly place, now we have a mob more interested in belittle and ridicule those that seek help.

kinda like what you did? it still is a friendly space and it is about helping others but safety should always come first. i sometimes shudder at some of the things a few of the 'pro status' posters say!
