No doubt a mighty obvious question.... but what advantage is this bar graph?

The others I assume just have a ## display?

The bar graph shows pressure changes in 1/4 psi. I find myself watching the bar graph more than the psi reading. You can see the changes up and down without actualy changing the psi reading on the gauge. Does that make any sence? go here and watch the demo http://digi-cool.com

So I used my new Yellow Jacket gauges this afternoon and LOVED THEM..

Bar graph shows pressure increasing or decreasing, has digital read out, nice titan manifold. was great. Tested the low pressure control to set cut out and cut in. It was cake and my helper is going to buy one now too!

My understanding is REFCO is releasing a digital manfold this month or next with a target price of $275-300. Who knows, that is the word from the wholesaler.

when you say digital read out, do you mean like the testo with the IR (wireless) printer? another question I have been wondering is where do you store your temp sensor? Or is it attached?

Ahhh. ok, cool! For some reason I was expecting the bar graph to be a horrid equivalent of the needle, with little to no accuracy and just show only.

    Cool!

Now I just need to get me a set of these.... someday.

Well don't be a fool and wait like I did. I have a set for a few weeks now and I won't go back. I should have made this move a long time ago.

What is needed to upgrade the yellowjacket digital gauges for refrigerants?
The 23 listed is just not enough for me.
However its about time someone made a 4port version.... this was the only thing keeping me from buying one.

For you guys that have the Digital gauges (any brand) have you used them on a system that has dye in it?
Is it not recomended? Or is there a way to flush the manifold like we do with oil in a micron gauge?

    Thanks Ted

You can use the Digicools on any system with dye and it will not hurt them in anyway. I use them daily on mobile a/c systems and small transport systems that have dye in them. Just flush out with refrigerant.

If I use one set for R22 and another set for 410A do I need to buy 2 digital gauges sets. If so I am still working on R22 more than the 410A systems. I don't think I can convince my self to buy 2 sets right away. Up here in Canada I have yet to see them in any of the wholesalers yet. Then again for the cost of them they might be hiding them out of site.
