    mismatched???

    Hi guys, in one of our buildings we have 3, 7.5 ton air handlers paired up with 6 ton condensers. These are feeding the office areas. Help me understand why they would size them like this. In my mind the A/H and Cond. should be the same size.

    The units are 1995 Trane with one condenser replaced in 2005.

    no big deal, fixed orifice or txv? we see 1 ton both ways all the time. going up 1 ton on the air handler makes it "more efficient" i think if it was really tat easy they would have just done it from the factory. i normally modify my fan speed based on how the mismatch is.

    It's TXV. How would you modify the fan speed on this, up or down?
