Google crawl space encapsulation. I tried to post a link to a site that I found to be great resource but it takes to the wrong site.

www dot crawlspacedepot dot com has some videos for the DIYer as well as materials. Make sure and use a good 12-20 mil scrimmed liner for the floor so it doesn't get messed up. Allison Bailes blog has a whole series on crawlspace encapsulation

Recent post in a different thread... "The folks over at Building Science Corp. have quite a bit of objective knowledge in this area. They seem inclined towards conditioned [including sealed] crawl spaces. Here's a link to their deep research on the benefits, along with background science, discussion, technique, etc. (http://www.buildingscience.com/resou...nd-crawlspaces)"
