    the sad thing is no one noticed it 2 day's ago before it destroyed everything did they?
    It's hard to stop a Trane. but I have made one helluva living keeping them going.

    The call was that the walk in freezer is iced up. Yep all the product was garbage.
    I know that I will not be eating at this place anytime soon.

    It took a lot longer than 2 days to get in that condition, unless it was in a Steam Generated Sauna, or the door was open in the Rain Forest.
    If you really know how it works, you have an execellent chance of fixin' er up!

    Probably called on a Friday at 4:00 like it just happened. I wouldn't deice that. I would replace the evap.

    Why automatic replacement? Hell you would have to de ice it just to get it down without a lift!

    Use a lift to get it out. I guess you could deice it, replace the drain pan and heaters, repair the drain line, repair the bent fan blades and possible some motors, replace whatever caused it to ice up in the first place and hope you don't find anything else wrong or bent. We could have a small coil like that replaced in 4 hours. I've replaced ones iced and damaged like that in the past. Everyone was happy at the end of the day.
