    Just starting in the trade

    What would you say would be the best part of the trade to start into? I'm 24 just starting in the trade. Commercial vs residential and or referigeration?

    Do each one for a year or so. See what you like. Also, be an install apprentice for a few years. Learn how to bend tin, etc. That stuff is golden when I look to hire techs.

    Don't stick to just one area, as others have said. Versatility is the key in this trade.

    You'll figure out what appeals to you when you look back on an apprenticeship. You'll know what you like after the trial by fire service work in each of those respective areas.

    Just take it how it comes broesph nobody know what works for you but you...but I would say commercial
