HYow about a picture or two?
I would like to inquire as to if anyone else uses or has dealing with Armstrong Air condensers.
We sell them on a regular basis and I ran into a beef and was wondering if anyone else has encountered this and what they found or what they did to remedy the situation.
My beef is with trying to use a core removal tool to remove that schrader valve. The core removal tool fits on beautiful and removes the schrader with eases. then when you try and remove the assembly (stem of the removal tool) it hits the side on the a/c unit. I am sure with a little side pressure I could pull it out. I am just not confident with it enough to believe that after a vac down with the schraders removed I could get them back into the service valve because of this situation.
Other condensers I have worked on have enough room around the service valves that this is not a problem. It is just with the Armstrong....which is the main units our company sells....
Any insight would be appreciated...
Respectfully;
Ned

Don't remove the cores.
You can still get a good vacuum with the cores in- just repeat vacuum and nitro flush as needed if there are moisture problems.
On the Armstrongs I have not been removing the cores thus far for the obvious reason.
What I have been doing is a triple evac with a nitrogen purge and rest between each evac. Was hoping to not have to pull through the schrader and save some time. I purchased the YJ SuperEvac system with the 3/8" hoses. Just that alone (even pulling through the cores) had been a major time saving. I guess never mind the time saving, at the end of the evac I have a better feeling that the overall process has been done better.
