New guy just about to start college

I am starting my 2 college HVAC/R program. I already have an idea what to expect I just want to get more opinions on the job outlook, pay range, and exactly what stuff I could be working on I understand there are furnaces, air conditioners, chillers and etc but if anyone could give me examples of really cool industrial/commercial equipment that we could work on that would be appreciated. I understand that HVAC techs are among the best paid tradesman here in Canada could anyone here verify that? How long would apprenticeship be to be fully certified HVAC tech in Canada?

    Thanks for your time.

In industrial, we use chillers to cool tanks of various liquids, glue, etc. Also use chillers to cool very large, and very expensive motors.
