So what do you think of it so far coolwhip?

Your leads will last longer if you turn them around the other way when storing them, I can tell you this from experience.

I like them, there fast and accurate and dont fluctuate much. Got this one yesterday and have only used it for some continuity checks, the other one is about a year old and only likes to work when its warmed up...me thinks there is somthing wrong with it. ...But I like it anyways.

I just replaced mine, I just had a 10 year old Series 116 stolen from my truck along with a Fluke 52 II Thermometer.

I paid $169 for the series 116 and $250 for the 52 series II, I got both at Johnstone.

anyone figure out how to store the leads, without them flopping all over. I ended up putting a rubber band around them?

Thats pretty much what I do, then I just wrap the whole mess with a big rubber band.

I have a Case to put the thing in, but the case is kind of big and takes up a lot of room in my tool bag, so I don't use it.

I also use the Fluke meter hanging kit, it's really nice to be able to hang the meter with either a strap or the magnet ( Fluke # "TPAK" ) Johnstone part number H25-937

I just bought the 116 also. So far so good. Those are some long leads on it. With the meter hanging to the side by the magnet, it is easy to reach in and take measurements.

don't ya just love that magnetic hanger, it's great for a furnace and even better for a condenser. it keeps the meter out of the dirt

The 116 looks like a nice meter, you guys should get just as nice a set of test leads to go with it.

    These work great. http://us.fluke.com/usen/products/Ac...(FlukeProducts)

People actually use the crappy test leads that come in the box with meters?
If more government is the answer, then it's a really stupid question.
