Same here, I received the new clamps and high side valve, and haven't had any issues in 2 years. SMAN still works great! Bad parts happen, the difference is in the company's response to the issue. Hats off for the great customer care.
    Thanks Russell!

Still no clamps for the Sman. I took the broken clamps and pulled the wires and sensors off the broken clamps. Went to Home Depot to look for some clamps that I could import the sensors on to. Not much out there where the clamps have rounded ends to grip pipes.

I have gone through 5 clamps so far. Even the replacement I bought broke so I gave up and have just been using Velcro or tape but it has been a real PIA. Russell if you want to make good on the five broken ones I have it would be much appreciated. If not, I understand as it has been awhile since these units were purchased. I do still have on good clamp but it is two years old and still going strong. Now that I mentioned the good one it will probably break the next time I use it, lol

Never had a clamp break but my factory replacement SMAN 4 still won't stay in calibration.

Returned enough FP products to have grown weary of it all.

Has anyone bought the Omega calibration tool. Seem like a good idea but would like anyone's thoughts.

We have 3 of the sman3 and all our testing equipment is Fieldpiece unless they just don't make it. They have the best customer service that I have ever experienced. I am a Fieldpiece groupie!

Of course I do! I have to make sure the temperature of the toilet water is just right. BTW nobody else is going to have a clue what you are referring to.

    another thing that's bad about
    My
SMAN4...I use FLUKE temperature clamps along w/the FP clamp, and by rights you should be able to calibrate any k type thermal couple to the SMAN 4 by means of the pots. BUT they won't adjust on mine. The Fluke temp clamps work on all my other k-type temp testers....just not the SMAN4.

    Is veto video gone?
Dude ...... You guys missed a classic.
Fire up the camera again. The SMAN could be your John Wayne TP Holder with some George Michael back ground music this time

Anybody who wants to see the Veto video being mentioned can view it on YouTube. Just search "vetovid" and it is the first video in the search.
