Confused CVHG 600 Ton-Earthwise Centravac chiller low differential oil pressure problem!

    Hi,
Recently we had overhauled an TRANE Earthwise- Centravac 600 ton-Model CVHG which was failed due to water entry. While commissioning the chiller we are facing a problem of low differential oil pressure. Before starting the compressor, the pressure reads to 14 to 15 psid and when the compressor the starts it drops to 10 psid(chiller trip set at 9 psid). This below the TRANE recommended limit of 18 psid.Prior to chiller failure we don't have any kind of problem oil system. We are unable to commission the chiller due to this.

Please help me to sort out the problem.

You had a contractor, or service provider, overhaul your chiller? If so, call them back out. You should get somebody very familar with this style chiller involved.

Yes sir, we did the overhaul with our contractor only .But they are also struggling to get a suitable solution. The oil viscosity was tested and it was very low around 150 SSU instead of a standard 300 SSU(oil samples taken 1 week after chiller running). This is the second time we are planning to change the oil after the overhaul.

You ARE using Trane OIL-22, aren't you?

Try this:CTV-SVB62A-EN_Low Oil Press. Due to Debris -1-23-12.pdf
"Wheel" mechanics work on "Wheel" chillers
