To the point that the average American voter now looks for what makes them feel good, even if those promises are lies and could not possibly be true or obtainable, they will now vote for the one who tells them what they want just as obama did and still does. So your statement holds true to that point.

And we now have generations of child like voting citizens that are in their 20's, 30's and 40's that are now taking leadership positions and who will and are directing this country - that certainly is an understatement - towards feelings and self gratification regardless the subject or short term and long term consequences.
Based on todays voters the only way any other candidate could get elected is to out lie obama, should he be re-electable, which he is not. But this generation of voters will replace him in an almost like-for-like person.
