If you are talking about the old Barber Colmans - PSI
What software is required to make changes to Network 8000 controllres
eg.MZ2-1 controllers
If you are talking about the old Barber Colmans - PSI
Correct it is the old Barber Coleman. Price book lists two part numbers
LAPT-80800-EPSI
LAPT-80800-PSI
I have them - do you need them?
What is the difference between EPSI and PSI?
I have one of them, will have to check which one.
kontrol out
"Good" - Jocko
"Open is as open does." - Forrest Gump
"Can't we all just get a Lon?" - Garry Jack
"BACnet: integration or interrogation?" - The Janitor
"Interoperability? You can't handle interoperability!" - Nathan R. Jessup
“What’s that? Aaa… open protocols? Don’t talk about…. open protocols? Are you kidding me? Open protocols? I just hope we can hardwire an interface!” - Jim Mora Watch it here!
Can't remember, Haven't used them in a while. However the 3 1/2" thick manual might tell me!
motec, I can send you those files if you need them. My email address is in my profile. My distributer gave them to me free because he laughed when I told them I had several buidings with them. He couldn't believe they were still being used. It always amazes me how long some of our stuff holds up (or not).

Lots of NETWORK 8000 still working away , first NW8000 controllers I put in back in 1986 are still running today. EPSI-1 is the extended version of PSI
What are you changing? The programming in the GCM/LCM's or in the ASD devices. You can use Hyperterminal to get into a GCM or LCM & modify it's programming. You really only need PSI if you are going to modify the programming in Microzones, PEM's or Microflo's.
Thanks for the reply. Yes to all, as I may have to modify the asd controls.
When connecting to the GCM or LCM with hyper terminal are you connecting
to the the 25 pin connection as a direct connect?
Yes, connect to the 25 pin connection. You may have to change the port switch for connection setting, it depends on your cable.
Recently had a system 8000 dumped in my lap. Can't see a thing and very little is working. The rep left an Atari Portfolio with the interface and no more.
There is no chance they will show up to check the system out, but they will upgrade (of course !!).System has Microzone II controllers bussed together. Help!!!!
The ATARI's worked fairly well to access the NETWORK 8000 systems , BARBER COLMAN did not promote them very long, I think I still have the manual on it around here someplace.
Forgot how great that 90's technology was. That little atari was great! Why the h*ll am I lugging around this Dell in y2k+7?

Hello everyone,
I'm new here but already need some help.
I'm looking for a user manual for PSI software, whose part number is LAPT-80800-PSI.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Our Barber Colman Specialist quit recently and we lost our Signal graphics PC.
I am looking for a manual for using and programming the graphic pages. Any help would be appreciated.
I have available an extra PSI programmers manual for you HVAC Learner.
You will need the Engineering version of PSI called XPSI ( extended PSI )
Part number LAPT-80800-EPS-I
The EPSI version allows programming of all the blocks. It is called the Engineering version.
The PSI version doesn't allow programming but does allow changing of some, if only a few, block attributes. The PSI version is basically useless.
