Hello and greetings to all,
I have taken over a school system and have no documentation on the 8000 network and microzones and would appreciate any manuals you could give as i have 23 buildings using this system
I deeply thanks for any info you can give to help me with this system.

I can email you a link to download all that you will need for manuals. Since you don't have an email in your profile please send me an email from my profile address. If you need any help give us a call. we work on these system all over the place. I have about 8 guys that know this stuff really well. We also can integrate this old stuff into Niagara AX technology to get you into the 21st century. We can demo so of our integrations if you would be interested. Let me know if you need anything else.

hyperterminal settings will vary depending on what was setup in the GCM. Usually 8 none and 1 with a 9600 baud works just fine. You will need a 9 to 25 pin serial cable. Depending on the type of cable you have you will have to use the dte to dce switch inside the cabinet on the port you are connected to. I usually pick a baud rate and then try the switch in one direction, if it doesn't work flip it and try again. you will also have to hit the enter key to wake the GCM up and create a connection.
