    How Tandem compresaors works?

I know that tandem compressors are two compressors of equal or uneven capacity in the same circuit. They don't run at the same time for partload.

But I want to know how they work.

Do they have check valves? Both compressors have the same construction or have different valves, etc?

Please don't answer what is obvious.

no need for isolating each compressor from the other in a tandem configuration. An oil equalizer line connecting the two compressors is required. It is there to have equal amounts of oil in each sump. It is a pretty simple configuration.
