I tell them they'll have ice within a half hour of when im done. It may not be ALL the ice youre looking for, but it will be ice.

You took the words out of my mouth. Working alone is one of the reasons i prefer service to installation.

Why would you want to work with other people... The days where start to finish I don't talk to a single person and just get to listen to music and fix machines are my favorites. That's what I don't get about guys complaining about PM's, give me a rooftop thats got me checking equipment for 2 days and I'm happy.

That's what I like about this site, it's purpose driven, people get to the point and I read your posts at my discretion, I don't have to listen to you talk : ).

I talk to myself on jobs. Some folks think it strange...I dont.

The voices in my head are all the company I need.

What I like to do when people are standing around is go. OH O, or maybe OPPS. Or maybe just ask, hey do you remember where all these damn wires go?

Worked in a kitchen a few times...never again! Couldn't stand the slimy greasy floors, the cock roach infested ice machines, and the filthy condensers on top of filthy walk in coolers.

You need to get a sense of humor. If you can laugh at your own jokes youll be better off than others. thats how I keep myself from losing it on the job..

Actually, spontaneously laughing at your own jokes, that you tell yourself in your head, is a very good way to keep other people from bugging you.

So is looking at people like this when they disturb you.
