    My daughter is happy

She is running about the house right now elated. She turned 16 this month and just got her first job (not baby sitting) working at an ice cream shoppe thats a 1/2 block from the house. Nice Ma & Pa place thats been there forever.

Im very happy for her, and its convenient too being so close to home.

Now I gotta teach her how to parallel park so she can take her road test to get her license...then my insurance goes up.lolz

Congratulations! Not only is she excited and proud of EARNING the coin in her pocket, but also she has managed to find a place that will hire a minor (its getting harder and harder to do because of the restrictions, regulations, and paperwork imposed on employers for hours worked and schedules allowed).

Good job, Dad, and a pat on the back for the new employer!

I wasn't allowed to get my license until I already had a job and had saved enough to start paying my share of the premiums.... of course that was 38 years ago.

Awesome, my grandson just started his first real job. Very excited about his position and a bit of freedom.

I have been taking care of the forced air there for a few years now, they have an older retired fridgy that works on their freezers.

The kiddles sure grow up quick it seems.
