Need help deciding between two AC options.

I'm looking to have an AC unit put in to my house.... Currently I have a Bryant 94%AFUE 2-stage variable speed furnace in my attic (really a third floor), in a horizontal configuration. The furnace supplies the third and second floor, which totals around 3200sqf. These were my options quoted:

Bryant 178BNA048 4ton 16.4 2 stage with a slab coil.

or

Rheem RARL-049JEC 4 ton 2 stage with Carrier 4 ton cased coil.

The Rheem is about 10-15% less.

Any thoughts?

What Mdl number is your furnace? How old is furnace?

What thermostat do you have?

You currently don't have AC?

I would want a matching Bryant Condenser with best matching Bryant ATA or ALA evap coil. No third party coil is acceptable.

Furnace is 1.5 year old, 355AAV042060, with a "5 ton drive" (whatever that is), with Evolution Thermostat. No current AC.

The slab coil mentioned with the Bryant setup is the matching bryant slab coil.

The RARL is fine machine. But it belongs on a matching RHEEM coil, not a Carrier coil. If you have the Evolution control I'd stay with an Evolution outdoor unit.

The logic he presented was that the carrier coil "fits" the bryant furnace better. Is that not the case?

Yeah, I think I'll just go with the bryant, its only 10-15% more. Thanks!
