So I went to the marina to check an AC heat Pump. suppose to be a gas & go. Didn't happen. Another fine mess I got myself into.
Put the gauges on ant told the owner to start it up. Heard a klick. That was it, play with the tsat a and get klick. My guess is reversing valve.
The unit was made by Lunair. I understand they are no longer. It is a 220 volt unit has 97 PSI. Power seems to be going to the compressor, but it is cold to the touch. At my age I can't quite stand on my head to get at the wiring box on the compressor. There is a control modual with a resister across it. I don't know but it probably controls the compressor. 2 terminals on top and 2 on the bottom. Then the thermodisk in the compressor could be open. But my gusee is the problem is in the controls. I may take my annie out and try to get at the compressor wiring. Some one changed the thermostat and maybe screwed it up. This might be a good place to try my spd2 if I can ever get it running. Oh yea, it isn't the last boat at the end of the line. It is next to last. So if any one does marine work I would like to hear your thoughts. Thanks.
