    Liquid refrigerent danger

    Hey guys, not sure where to post this but this is a very real reminder on being safe with guages. One of our apprentices learned the hard way the damage liquid 410 can cause

    Sounds like he was using some sort of an adapter at the end of his hose, when he was taking his hoses off the system the adapter loosened off his hose and started venting liquid. Rather then let it vent he tried, and succeeded, to get his hose back on the adapter.

    Man, that's ugly. It would seem that if anybody would know the dangers of frostbite, it would be someone from Manitoba. I'll bet he does now, anyways.

    Wow. That's rough. Hard lesson learned the hard way. Best wishes for a quick recovery. He won't make that one agin.

    I've seen it happen more than once although not to that extreme. Bet he'll never do that again.

    He will be gun shy now. May never be able to touch a refer hose again. Hope he heals well.
