    Carrier RCB Boards

Has anyone ever had a failure of a RCB Board on multiple different Z Series Units? The reoccurring failure point I have witnessed is near the J4 connector where the discrete inputs are landed. The board usually will have a little burnt mark like when a small circuit board resistor burns.

The only thing I have seen where the ABB VFD was basically eating the 4-20ma signal from the board and it was pretty much toast . Not sure if its related to the fried resistors you are referring to.

It takes three people to do anything around here. Two do the work, one explains to the crowd of people who showed up when they seen smoke and flames.

I do have ABB Drives. The burnt mark is near the remote occupancy and enthalpy terminals. I also have lost the VFD Signal only in the past. Interesting.
