    A learning experience

I don't get to lay hands on too many steam boilers around here.

I got a hold of a Hoffman condensate tank with a bad pump. The one with the wire spacer.

I'm slow so it took awhile to figure out how to get it out of the volute. The wire spacer threw me. Then I didn't know anything about the shaft seal and a church member was helping me. He was good help! But he is the one that took the impeller off while I cleaned the LWC. He is an electrician at a college we do lots of business with.

When we went to install the new motor of course it leaked. We thought it was from a gasket instead of the seal. Until we where educated by an old timer. (Church is next to the colleges maintenance office.)

Got a new seal but it was bugger to get it back into the volute.

But job is done and the electrician was happy with me. Our commercial guy that is off this week is exclusive to that account.

And I was happy with the help. Good man!

If you're happy; we're all happy.
    Good job.

Yea, and I'm not really a happy type of person.
