goodman in texas ?
Goodman in texas and north carolina that i know of,
trane does some in texas,
heil does package units in mexico and splits in the US i believe,
and i think the ruud/rheem has one some where around Arkansas or nearby there.
I thought York/ JCI was still doing some in Kansas.
All Lennox furnaces, a/c and heat pumps except the Merit series are made in Marshalltown, Iowa.
Allied Air has manufacturing in SC I believe for the Armstrong and Airease brands.
Rheem still has Ft. Smith but furnace production will slowly move to Mexico
Allied makes premium A/Cs in SC, furnaces in Lennox's IA plant, builder A/Cs with Lennox Merits in Mexico
Carrier has made coils in Mexico for 20 some years. Payne and some super low end ICP outdoor units made down there as well Didn't know about Carrier packs, I thought they were American.
Trane recip compressors
Heard most or all York is US after the coil fiasco in Mexico.
Sad but it's John Q. Public's fault wanting everything so cheap these days. Of course more fun to blame the president and congress.
hmmmmm .... ya I also read that today in my SNIPS magazine. Was thinking the same thing ....who's left. Also do not really think this economy is getting better , I think they are trying to make you think it is before it all goes to hell. It may be better in some places but I think over all I think the polititions are gonna take this country over a cliff being being they won't quit spending and redistributing the wealth
I'm not blaming it on the people wanting low prices . Thats about as smart as teachers saying we need to raise peoples taxes for the CHILDREN ......to make them competative. Then the money goes to teachers retirement and health care benifits . Ya like there not talking out their A$$
That's what our elites have told us for the past 20 years--that Americans just demand cheap prices. Really, I demand that cheap made in China garbage that they sell at WalMart? Corporate America and the elites are no longer content with a profit. They want to make a killing. And when you look at all the regulations the democrats have forced on manufacturing and all the liability companies have in America, our government is almost begging them to move offshore.
I remember working a temporary job at an AC mfg plant here in Ft. Worth about 20 years ago, but I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head. It was on Airport Freeway between Haltom Road and Minnis Drive on the south side of the interstate. But, yep, they closed up shop many years ago and I believe they moved to Mexico.

Running sales calls, you would be surprised how many folks truly believe it is all apples to apples... and it is all about price. I generally give them a high price and go on (there is NO customer I cannot do without).
And it amazes me how many folks shop at WallyWorld when they have the $$$ to buy better quality... they seem to not care.
My brother suggested: Folks are programmed to believe the govt will make it all right if they get screwed... so why bother to worry about anything other than price.
MeThinks we are about to move into serious price inflation (been warning folks about this for over 5 years... just this last year folks started to listen). When folks learn they HAVE to think about quality... maybe they will go find that old friend 'common sense'... And then again maybe not.

Ooops, I made a mistake. I didn't check the date closely. It was from a 2003 article. Sorry.
A bit more detail:
Nortek, based in Providence, R.I., earned a profit of $9.5 million last year compared with a loss of $55.9 million in 2011.
A quarter of all residential heating and air conditioning units are made outside the U.S., “and we expect this number to grow,” LaGrand said. All but one of Nordyne’s competitors make products outside America, he said.
