aproach which is the condenser?
what would cause the compressor discharge temperature to run hot around 160 degrees at 45 % load. there is no issue with condenser or evaporator water flow,no non condensibles, charged was weighed in with a micron test of 500 microns. chiller makes capacity just notice the discharge runs hot and the economizer pipe nearest to the discharge is also very warm. any ideas???

Its running unloaded, not a large enough volume of gas to cool the discharge down. Once it loads up the discharge temp will drop.

In my experience R-11 machines, and particularly small R-11 CVHEs run high discharge temps to begin with. When you say 45% loaded, are you talking about %RLA or is 45% an approximation of the vane position? If it's 45% RLA, the chiller's unloaded and that's why your discharge temp is high.

I figured unloaded was the issue, it is a r11 machine, when i ruled out the noncondensibles it made sense, however ive seen other machine similar run between100 to 125 degrees. I know the carrier 19dk are famous for getting hot when they have noncondensibles. Ill load it up and test it once again. The building added rtus for some areas which took load off the chiller.....ill follow up
