# Thread: Infinity System - When does aux heat turn on?

It's the coldest winter day you had this year & one stage of electric heat came on?You really need a new hobby other than watching your infinity control....problem solved!lol

Yes 4 zones (infinity zoning).

Attached is page 25 of the Product Data sheet for the 25HNA9 that references the higher BTU output with higher AH CFM.

That's why your airflow is so low. All zones were not calling. If they were, your airflow would have been higher.

As a rule, the system will try to maintain 70% of 350/ton when configured for comfort mode. So, if on high stage, .7*350*5 = 1225 CFM. Your system had calculated a need for 1300 CFM.

If you had strip heat only running, you would follow the airflow table on page 9 of the attached document. You need a maximum of 1050 CFM for 9KW. So, the heat pump airflow requirements will always be greater than strip heat requirements. You won't see a change in airflow when the control energizes a stage of strip heat.
