    Cleaning Rooftop Evap in winter

Any recommendations on a safe grease cutting evap coil cleaner? I have a Taco Johns Rooftop that needs cleaned now in the middle of winter. We are having a heat spell this week and I want to spray something on in that will self rinse but also cut grease. I normally use evap cleaner but don't think it will work. I am not to exited about digging out a hose if you know what I mean.

with grease in them the best way is power wash them. if the units isnt to big I would removed the coils and cap the lines and take them to the car wash. thats assuming it can not be done in the unit.

I have used simple green and warm water rinse {if available} with good results. As far as cleaning evaps in winter, I always do it because return/ supply air is still going through the coil even in winter. If it's too cold I vacuum best as I can.

I have also used either simple green or Knight's white lightening cleaner and warm water rinse to remove grease and oil.

Goodway makes a good coil cleaner.

BBJ Power Coil Cleaner works good on oil and grease. It doesn't need to be rinsed off but it's best to do so to remove the grease. Blast-A-Coil also works good but you would need a case of it.
