    Looks like a hole.

    I had some 21' black iron that had a hole last year, got lucky and some leak seek dripped down and ran over the hole from a 90* we were checking.

    I have actually seen a hole just like that in a carrier RTU on the discharge line. The unit was 5-6 yrs old and never had any issues, then all sudden it was out of gas and i found the hole. It did not look like it was drilled, i think it naturally occurred somehow, maybe the copper was thin in that part and worn down. I think that's what happened in the pic above.

    Plugged txv or worse...
