X-13 ECM Furnace Motor or PCM

    Hello,

Looking at getting a single speed 75K BTU Furnace/80% AFUE

One model comes with the ECM X-13 motor and another model has the PCM Motor.

Which type motor is more reliable and why?

    Thanks In Advance

    Do you mean PSC?

The X13 is a high efficiency motor, uses lots less juice than the PSC type which have been around forever. There have been some issues with the X13 but overall a good motor. Today's Mexican and Chinese PSC motors don't hold up like they did in the American made days.
