    That is not impossible. I had one leaking at the stub to drier body connection, it took forever to find because every time the leak detector goes off I was checking solder joint.

    What brand of drier was it, Emerson?

    (had problems with their suction filters leaking at the factory joint at the shell)

    Is this recent? I have never seen a drier leak from the body.

    2008. Suction filter was installed using stay brite 2 months earlier. Cut it out and it was returned to johnstone, who showed it to a emerson rep. I believe emerson comfirmed it as a manufacturing defect.

    Only remember it because it was such a freak thing to happen.

    Edit: after my boss saw it, he said the same thing happened to the one he took out. It was already scrapped so couldn't comfirm it.
