    Life is difficult...

Sent by a friend... interesting read.

“Life is difficult,” wrote psychiatrist M. Scott Peck at the outset of his international best-seller, “The Road Less Traveled.” Stress, difficulties, disappointments, accidents, disease, misfortune, cruelty, betrayal – they’re unavoidable in this life.

Yet, during eras when society and families are stable, unified and fundamentally decent and moral – as, say, America during the 1950s – the stress level for each person is minimized, or at least not compounded by a perverse society. Conversely, when – as is the case today – we have widespread family breakdown, a depraved culture that mocks traditional moral values, a chaotic economy and disintegrating monetary system and a power-mad government dominated by demagogues and sociopaths, the normal stresses of life are greatly multiplied.
Top it all off with an administration continually abusing the public for the sake of enlarging and consolidating its political power – for instance, by purposely making the “sequester” cuts hurt Americans, even our active-duty soldiers, as much as possible.
Make no mistake: This sort of stress on Americans is not only intentional on the part of Team Obama – it is strategic. Remember, these people are revolutionaries (that is, engaged in “bringing about a major or fundamental change,” as Merriam-Webster puts it) and utterly committed to replacing one societal structure – America’s constitutional, limited-government, free-enterprise system – with another – a socialist, wealth-redistributionist system run by an all-powerful government.

The same gentleman wrote a book called "People of the Lie" and it pretty much sums up obamas personallity. It's not an easy book to read though so a warning is in order.

And his third book: A different drumbeat, suggested choosing your own road and not trying to be part of the team regardless...

There is a lot of wisdom in Scott Peck's books... something (wisdom) we are lacking currently.

Personally... I prefer the wisdom found in Biblical Scripture... however getting folks started on a trek to wisdom is better than demanding they do it my way.

Obviously the writer suffers fron severe depression brought on by his severe ideological stance and runaway paranoia exacerbated by the usual lack of rational and critical thinking endemic to the conservative mind.

But then these maladies are considered healthy and are required of any writer who hopes to have his screeds published in WND.

Judging from the number of posts ga makes about me, I doubt he is using the ignore list as intended by forum protocol.

If you will notice, my first comment made no mention of ga.

My second comment was an in kind reply to a personal attack on me by ga.

    Lay off please,
Seems a bit preferential to a particular member.

put him on you ignore list.

I am just trying to help.
Appears to be a heavy-handed type of help.

Even if you are the ignore, one will still see quoted posts, that was my understanding. I see no need to have a feud.

Then again, you and I have had sort of one going on for several years...

If he has you on ignore, why do you respond to his posts geer?
To put the world in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must cultivate our personal life; and to cultivate our personal life, we must first set our hearts right.

It is of no concern to me if ga reads my posts or not. I reply for the edification of the forum membership.
